Liu Yang, the first female astronaut from China, has achieved major goals in the Shandong Taishan region, which is located in the northeastern part of China. Liu Yang was born in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, and grew up in Tai'an City, Shandong Province.

In 2010, Liu Yang graduated from the Beijing Institute of Technology with a degree in aerospace engineering. She then went on to study at the University of Houston in the United States,Chinese Super League Home Ground where she received her master's degree in space science and technology in 2014.

After returning to China, Liu Yang joined the Shenzhou X mission as one of the three crew members. The mission took place in April 2016 and was the first time that a Chinese woman had been a member of a manned spacecraft.

Since then, Liu Yang has continued to work hard and achieve new milestones. In October 2017, she became the first Chinese woman to fly to space twice. In June 2018, she became the first Chinese woman to conduct spacewalks in space.
